I emailed you a few days ago about a bridesmaid dress. After visiting many bridal and formal dress shops I felt almost ready to give up on the bridesmaid status. I felt so low about my image after finding many stores did not have any plus size dresses or ones that simply were larger versions of the dresses designed for very small frame girls. I was feeling desperate at either ruining my sisters photos or disappointing her by dropping out because I couldnt find a suitable dress. But I had a positive fibe from your email and decided to take a chance. I am pleased to say I found an absolutley delightful, honest and suberbly helpful assistant in your daughter Dayna. I’ve been meaning to email you to say a very big thank you for helping me find the perfect dress. My wedding took place on 4th April 2009 and everyone commented on how beautiful my dress was and how well it suited me. Val Thomas helped me add the sleeves to the dress as I was conscious of having bare arms and the attached photos show the brilliant result. I felt beautiful and comfortable the whole day and everybody was taken aback by the spun gold colour as it was so unusual. Please feel free to upload any of these photos onto your testimonials as I want every curvy girl out there to know that if they deal with Curvaceous Bridal, then there is not a worry in the world. My dress fitted me so perfectly that the bust, waist, and hem did not need to be touched. The only alterations were the addition of the sleeves.

Hello Ladies,

I am so sorry for the delayed response in this email… it has been extremely hectic at work…. I am still trying to tee up a time to come and see you guys and show you my wedding album..we had a wonderful day... both here and india….. I just wanted to say a big thank you to you and the team for the fantastic services you have to offer larger women. Its not easy shopping for a dress, never mind a wedding dress.

I have had the privilege of being Maid of honour 3 times, but along with this is the dreaded task of dress shopping! Every shop you walked into was the same, sorry we don’t have dresses that go to larger sizes. It was disappointing to know that you could not try a dress on for shape, you had to go with what was told to you. So to be honest I was not looking forward to dress shopping for my wedding as I new what a drama it was to buy a bridesmaids dress.

So I decided to do a search online and I found Curvaceous Bridal!!! What a relief…. From the moment I called and made my first enquiry, to my first visit I felt so unbelievably comfortable. Patricia and the team were amazing, they actually asked me what I liked (I think this was the first time someone actually asked me that!), then they made suggestions. I finally narrowed it down to 2 dresses and after a lot of trying the same 2 dresses on I made my decision. It was perfect.

The team at curvaceous bridal need to be congratulated, I was not forced or pressured into buying anything and their service was genuine. They actually cared about what they were doing and made the experience for me a fantastic memory.

Thank you very much, I will never forget the way you treated me and the way you made me feel, I will definitely recommend you to others and only hope that other fuller figure women are able to experience what I have with you.

I stumbled accress the BEST shop in Sydney, for plus size ladies.

Curvaceous Bridal at Kirrawee

The shop has a hige range of lovely dresses from 16-32, and they are all stunning dresses! After trying on hideous plus size tent looking wedding dresses with no shape, I went to Curvaceous Bridal and felt like a princess. The ladies at the store are absolutely wonderful and gave me lots of suggestions and the dresses are all reasonably priced, considering most are from America.

If you are looking for a plus size dress and live in Sydney....check outthe store, you wont be dissapointed.

The Curvaceous bridal website says “The professional staff at Curvaceous Bridal understand that bridesmaids, matrons of honour and debutantes come in many sizes” - including providing for those down to size 6. My small size meant I had been having immense trouble finding a debutante ball dress to fit me. It is often so hard to find clothes to fit. It was becoming painful – and shopping for a dress should be an enjoyable experience! From our very first phone call, the lovely women at Curvaceous Bridal were the nicest, most polite and courteous we had come across. When we came to the store, The ladies were absolutely wonderful and accommodated myself; my mother and little sister with a fantastic, old fashioned style of service that is so rare these days.

The ladies gave me unbiased advice, pointing out things about different dresses unnoticeable to the untrained eye. She listened when I said what I liked and wanted – not to mention, made great conversation. I never felt pressured into anything, and the staff actually cared about my dress, figure and debutante experience. Many bridal shops simply ignored me when I came in, not wanting to associate themselves with a deb at all. Curvaceous Bridal was the exact opposite, and I ended up buying a gorgeous white halter-neck dress. I had never imagined myself in a halter but when I tried the dress on (on their advice!) I knew it was right for me. I got the stunning, unique dress at a great price and was thrilled with the entire experience.

Thankyou so much for the dress, professional old-fashioned service and genuine interest in me and the search for my ball gown. I’ll definitely be recommending everyone to Curvaceous Bridal!
